LUCENA CITY––Anti-illegal drugs operatives in Rizal province on Wednesday and Thursday arrested five drug suspects and seized more than P367,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in buy-bust operations in four localities.
The Calabarzon police said in a report that anti-narcotics agents collared at 3:15 a.m. Thursday Alfred Dinampo, Ricky Sunico, and Edcel Moya after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay San Isidro in Rodriguez town.
Authorities found the suspects in possession of nine plastic sachets of shabu weighing 15 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P103,500.
Around 1:45 a.m. Thursday, police in Cainta town nabbed Samsudin Saban in another drug sting in Barangay San Juan. The suspect yielded 10 sachets of meth with a DDB value of P34,500.
In Cainta, cops arrested Kenneth Vicente in a separate buy-bust operation at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay San Juan. The police confiscated 14 sachets of shabu worth P103,500.
In Taytay town, police agents busted Kenneth Vicente, who yielded 16 sachets of shabu in a sting operation around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Sta. Ana.
The seized meth is worth P126,477 on DDB’s estimate.
The five suspects were detained and faced formal charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
