Guimaras farmers benefit from DAR’s sustainable livelihood project
ILOILO CITY — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Guimaras province has provided sustainable livelihood projects through the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support to farmers in Barangay Calaya, Nueva Valencia town, Guimaras.
A total of 30 piglets and 35 sacks of feed were given by the agency to the farmers.
DAR-Guimaras aimed to ensure a sustainable livelihood and steady source of income for the recipients.
The farmers expressed happiness and gratitude to DAR-Guimaras for the help they extended to them.
Shirley Ganea, one of the beneficiaries and president of Calaya Water Users Association, also promised that with her and other officers’ leadership, swine dispersal shall continue and expand to reach all of their members.
