ILOILO CITY — Rep. Michael Gorriceta of Iloilo’s second district has expressed his support for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid.
In a statement posted on his Facebook Page, Gorriceta said Robredo has his full support.
“I firmly believe that electing VP Robredo as President will result in six more years of boundless and continued progress for the Ilonggos,” he said.
Rising from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gorriceta said Filipinos need a leader that will inspire solidarity, cooperation, and volunteerism, and one who can bring out the best of servant-leadership, integrity, competence, sincerity, and love for others.
“A woman of faith and character like VP Leni Robredo is the kind of leader that we truly deserve in the second district of Iloilo and we wish to achieve for the entire country,” the congressman said.
Gorriceta joined fellow Rep. Lorenz Defensor, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, and Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. who openly expressed their support for Robredo.
