LUCENA CITY––A rider died, and another person was seriously injured in an accident Wednesday, March 9, involving two motorcycles in Lipa City in Batangas province.
Batangas police said in a report Thursday that Marklie Quinto, 24, and Emerson Valencia, 21, were riding their respective motorcycles when they collided around 8:50 p.m. in Barangay Dagatan.
Both riders suffered grave injuries and were taken to separate hospitals. The report did not state whether or not the victims were wearing crash helmets for protection.
Valencia died on the way to Hospital ng Lipa. Quinto was undergoing treatment at the NL Villa Hospital.
The police are conducting further investigation.
