Motorcycle rider dead after being ran over by truck in Batangas

LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle rider died after he was ran over by a truck in Ibaan town in Batangas province before midnight on Friday.

Batangas police reported that Rey Mark Halocon, 31, lost control of his vehicle after he accidentally bumped a tricycle in Barangay (village) Bago around 11:48 p.m.

The rider was thrown off his vehicle, landed on the pavement on the opposite lane of the highway and consequently ran over by a passing truck driven by Cezar Ramirez.

Ramirez surrendered to the police and is facing criminal charges.
