MANILA, Philippines — PROMDI presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao expressed sadness that after 36 years since the Edsa People Power Revolution, millions of Filipinos still remain in servitude and extreme poverty.

In a message commemorating the historic event that brought democracy back from authoritarian rule, Pacquiao said the spirit of Edsa has been lost because of corruption did not just persist, it even got worse.

To restore the spirit of Edsa, Pacquiao said he would lead a revolution against corruption where corrupt officials will be jailed and punished without prejudice.

He strongly warned those still involved in anomalous deals and transactions: “Kayong kawatan sa gobyerno, may payo ako sa inyo . . .

Pacquiao said he is unafraid to pursue his war against corruption because he fears no one but God.
