PH should remain nonaligned amid Russian invasion on Ukraine — Ka Leody
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines should avoid signifying any support and remain non-aligned amid the Russian invasion on Ukraine, presidential bet Leody de Guzman said Thursday.
(The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte should avoid showing any support and remain non-aligned. Instead, we should stand, as one country, for world peace and solidarity of countries worldwide.)
The labor leader added that the government should focus on rescuing overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Ukraine and monitor the potential spike in oil prices.

(Our government should focus on our OFWs, they should be saved from harm and guard against possible burst in oil prices.)
He raised that Section 14 of the Oil Deregulation Law should be used to regulate the industry amid the emergency situation.
De Guzman likewise reiterated that he opposed war as only firms creating weapons benefit from it.
(I said this a lot of times that I do not favor war and being in a war because only corporations creating weapons benefit while the masses will greatly suffer.)
The Palace earlier assured that Duterte’s main concern is the safety of Filipinos in Ukraine.
Currently, six Filipinos have been repatriated while two others are expected to return to the country.
