Rain showers expected in most parts of PH on Tuesday — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Rain is expected in most parts of the country on Tuesday, according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Mindanao and Samar will have rainy weather due to the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility aside from shearline or the tail end of a cold front, while Luzon and most parts of Visayas will experience the same weather condition due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan”, Pagasa said.
Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the shearline and the trough of LPA will bring cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Davao region, Caraga region, and Eastern and Northern Samar.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
“Ito pong low pressure area na ito ay makikita natin na hindi lalapit sa ating kalupaan o area of responsibility, pero asahan natin na magdudulot ito ng pag-ulan sa bahagi ng Mindanao,” Castañeda said.

Meanwhile, Pagasa also raised a gale warning over the eastern part of the country due to the northeast monsoon.
The northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon, the western seaboard of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao, will have rough to very rough sea conditions with 2.8 to 4.5 meter – high waves, according to Pagasa.
