Cloudy skies, rains to continue in parts of Luzon on Tuesday – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” will continue to bring rain over parts of Luzon on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Mararamdaman pa rin ang epekto ng amihan bukas lalong lalo na sa mga lalawigan sa silangang bahagi ng Luzon, maulap na may mahinang pag-ulan ang asahan mula Cagayan Valley hanggang dito sa Aurora, Quezon at maging sa Bicol Region,” said Pagasa senior weather specialist Chris Perez.
(The effects of the northeast monsoon will continue tomorrow especially in the provinces in the eastern part of Luzon; cloudy skies with light rain is expected in Cagayan Valley to Aurora, Quezon and even in the Bicol Region.)
“Sa natitirang bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila magiging bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap maliban na lang sa dagliang pulo pulong pagulan,” he added.
(In the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with short-lived isolated rain.)
Article continues after this advertisementEastern Visayas and Southern Mindanao will likewise experience overcast skies and rain, while the rest of the country will experience hotter and more humid weather with chances of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

The number of seaboards affected by the northeast monsoon has also increased, said Perez, with gale warning raised in the coasts of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Quezon including Polillo Islands, and the Northern and Eastern coasts of Catanduanes.
Gale warning is also raised in the seaboards of Camarines Norte, Northern and Eastern coasts of Camarines Sur, Eastern coast of Albay, Eastern coasts of Sorsogon, Northern and eastern coast of Northern Samar, and the seaboard of Eastern Samar.
