Police Major Edwin Villarba, Gloria police chief, said they have filed cases of attempted robbery and violation of Omnibus Election Code (Batas Pambansa 881) for gun ban violation against Maranan as he failed to present an exemption certificate.

Villarba said Maranan is under their custody and is set to post bail before the regional trial court in Pinamalayan town on Tuesday.

The administrative complaints against Maranan will be for the Philippine National Police (PNP) Internal Affairs Service Oriental Mindoro to resolve.
