Fish vendor nabbed in Quezon drug buy-bust

LUCENA CITY—Police arrested Friday a fish vendor allegedly selling “shabu” (crystal meth) in Mauban town, Quezon province.

Anti-illegal drugs operatives collared around 2:30 a.m. Rennol Tarriela, 41, of Lucena, after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in a transaction in Barangay Daungan, the police said.

Authorities seized three plastic sachets of shabu worth P12,240 in the street market.

The suspect was detained and charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
