PNP reports six additional COVID-19 cases, 55 recoveries
MANILA, Philippines — Six more personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have contracted COVID-19, a serious respiratory illness caused by the coronavirus strain SARS-CoV-2.
In its latest COVID-19 case bulletin released Friday, the six additional coronavirus infections brought to 48,761 the total number of PNP personnel who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 since the pandemic started in 2020.
The PNP data also showed that 55 patients have recovered, raising its COVID-19 survivors tally to 48,530.
Further, the national police said its COVID-19 active cases decreased to 103 while no new fatality has been reported keeping its coronavirus death toll at 128. – Jericho Zafra, trainee
