PNP records 152 active COVID-19 infections

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday reported 152 active COVID-19 cases among its personnel, its lowest tally since January 3.

According to the PNP Health Service, 24 additional personnel have recovered from the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The total number of PNP personnel who have recovered from COVID-19 is now 48,477.

However, the PNP recorded a slight increase in its daily tally after 10 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded. The total caseload in the PNP is now at 48,757.

The death toll remains at 128 after the PNP recorded no new COVID-19 deaths since February 11.

On January 3, the PNP reported 57 active cases of the virus before infections spiked amid the threat of the Omicron variant in the country. —Jericho Zafra, INQUIRER.net trainee
