PNP: Two men arrested, P2.8 million ‘shabu’ seized in Cebu City
MANILA, Philippines — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested two men and confiscated around P2.8 million worth of crystal meth or “shabu” in Cebu City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported Wednesday.
PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said suspects Jhoyarn Iñaki Walter Perolino Paninsoro, 25, and Jun Darnil Buytrago Mendros, 26, were caught during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 7 (RPDEU7) at Saint Jude Acres, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City on Tuesday.
He also said that one plastic pack and 10 sachets allegedly containing shabu were seized during the anti-drug operation. The alleged illegal substance weighs 425 grams and has an estimated value of P2,890,000, he added.
“Ang ating pamunuan at ang buong miyembro ng Pambansang Pulisya sa bansa ay hindi mapapagod sa paghuli sa mga kagaya nilang hindi pa rin tumitigil sa pagbenta ng bawal na gamot sa kabila ng ating patuloy na panawagan at paalaala sa publiko,” the PNP chief said.
(Our leadership and the entire membership of the National Police in the country will never tire of arresting those like them who still do not stop selling drugs despite our constant calls and reminders to the public.)
