P7.7 M shabu seized in Cebu, Bohol drug stings
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-drug agents of the Philippine National Police (PNP) seized P7.7 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and arrested three drug suspects druf buy0bust operations in Cebu and Bohol over the weekend.
PNP chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar said the Cebu City Police Office’s City Intelligence Unit, in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7, conducted a buy-bust operation Barangay Luz, Cebu City, at around 11:25 p.m. last Friday which resulted in the arrest of Vencent Mayol Supla, 27 and Giovanni Montecalvo Ambray, 25.
Eleazar said the suspects yielded 1,025 grams of shabu worth an estimated P6,970,000.
Over in Bohol, Arnel Tubaon Rivera, 23, was arrested in Purok 6, Barangay Punta Cruz, Maribojoc by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit Maribojoc Municipal Police Station and PDEA – Bohol.
Confiscated from Rivera were 110 grams of shabu worth an estimated P748,000.00.
Eleazar said appropriate formal complaints are now being prepared against the suspects for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the R.A 9165.
