PNP posts zero new COVID-19 cases in Central Luzon again

OLONGAPO CITY — For the second time this month, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) registered zero new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, local data showed Monday.

According to the health service of PRO3, four new recoveries were also recorded, bringing down to 16 its active infections.

It was on February 8 when PRO3 first posted zero new COVID-19 cases, sustaining the downward trend in infections this month.

Since the pandemic struck in 2020, a total of 3,666 confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered by PRO3 and at least 3,642 of these were recoveries. Its death toll still stood at eight, with no new fatalities in the previous days.

This year, PRO3’s active cases peaked at 470 on January 17 and recorded its highest daily tally of new infections at 94 on January 12.
