20,000 supporters show up for Robredo in QC rally
MANILA, Philippines — More than 20,000 pink-clad supporters showed up for Vice President Leni Robredo’s “People’s Proclamation Rally” for her presidential bid on Sunday, a number which she said was three times more than their initial projection of 5,000 attendees.
(If I am not mistaken, this could be my third and fourth rally here in QC memorial circle. But the crowds this morning were the first time.)
Robredo said they initially thought they would not be able to meet the expected 5,000 people, collectively calling themselves “Kakampinks” in reference to her campaign color.
Mukhang wala sa aking nakinig,” she said in jest.

Robredo’s running mate Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, along with some of the senators included in their ticket, is also in attendance with the event.
