P1.36 million worth of meth seized from suspects in Quezon City buy-bust

MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P1.3-million worth of crystal meth, locally known as shabu, from two drug suspects they arrested a buy-bust on Wednesday in Quezon City.

PDEA identified the suspects as Kingsley Abad, 31, resident of Quezon City, and Rayson Gamatero, 33, a resident of Tondo, Manila.

Both suspects were arrested at 2:14 p.m. on Wednesday in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Teresita, Quezon City.

Authorities then seized a plastic bag containing 200 grams of a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated value of P1.36 million.

PDEA said it will file complaints of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 against the suspects.
