Duque: 57.2 million in PH fully vaxxed; 6.2 million have booster shots

MANILA, Philippines — Over 57.2 million individuals in the country have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while over 6.2 million have received their booster doses, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said Monday.

In a recorded briefing with President Rodrigo Duterte, the health secretary said this constitutes 73% of the target population of 78.1 million individuals.

Meanwhile, 76% or 59.7 million individuals have at least received their first dose.

About 6.2 million individuals have so far received their booster doses, Duque also reported.

Of those who received their booster doses, one million are essential workers while over 766,000 are health workers. The number also includes 1.3 million seniors and 1.3 million persons with comorbidity.
