MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Saturday said he admired the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino III of all the Philippine chief executives.

Lacson revealed this during Jessica Soho’s Presidential Interviews aired on GMA-7.

“Sa mga nakaraang pangulo natin, talagang siya ang hinahangaan ko kasi hindi siya corrupt, ‘yun ang pagkakakilala ko sa kanya dahil nakatrabaho ko siya,” Lacson said when asked whom he admires among all the former presidents.

(From all the past Presidents, he was the one I really admired because he wasn’t corrupt; that was what I knew about him because I worked with him.)

Lacson also noted Aquino’s “no wang-wang policy.”

“Pinangunahan niya yung ‘no wang-wang policy’; symbolic, napakasimple, pero napaka-symbolic. Ibig sabihin, walang entitlement,” he added.

(He was the one who led the ‘no siren policy’; it was symbolic and simple but it was very symbolic. It means no entitlement.)
