34 medical workers in Bulacan infected with COVID-19
CITY OF MALOLOS–At least 34 medical staff of a COVID-19 facility in the province of Bulacan have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, health officials said Monday, Jan. 17.
Dr. Hijordis Marushka Celis, director of Bulacan Medical Center and vice chair of Bulacan COVID-19 Task Force, said the patients belonged to Bulacan Infection Control Center and Bulacan Medical Center
Celis said the number of virus-infected healthcare workers could increase as more doctors, nurses and hospital workers were also testing positive for COVID-19.
She said the isolation period for the healthcare workers has been shortened to seven days while their close contacts were asked to isolate for five days. INQ
