Lacson says he’s ‘fully recovered’ from COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Senator Panfilo Lacson on Wednesday said he has “fully recovered” from COVID-19.
“Ako, as of Sunday, fully recovered na [As of Sunday, I have fully recovered],” Lacson said in an interview over DZME radio when asked about his health condition.
Lacson tested positive for the coronavirus after taking a swab test on Jan. 4, following his exposure to his son, who contracted COVID-19.
According to Lacson, he is no longer exhibiting symptoms and is just completing his quarantine.
“Nag-positve ako Jan. 4, sa Jan. 14, or Friday, tapos na yung aking quarantine [I got a positive result from my Jan. 4 swab test, on Jan. 14 or Friday, my quarantine is over],” the senator said.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Department of Health earlier said the isolation period of COVID-19 patients who are asymptomatic or those with mild to moderate symptoms is 10 days or depending on the advice of the doctor.
On Wednesday, the Philippines logged 32,246 more COVID-19 cases, pushing the country’s active tally to 208,164.
