Donated 2.7 million Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine doses from US arrive in PH
MANILA, Philippines — About 2.7 million doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine that were donated by the United States (US) government arrived in the country on Sunday.
The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said the 2,703,870 doses were coursed through the COVAX Facility.
Silkway West Airline transported the shipment at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 which landed around 2 p.m.
NTF COVID-19 head of strategic communications on current operations Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor extended his gratitude to the US government for the donation.
With the recently delivered vaccines, the country has received a total of 213,487,520 doses since vaccine deliveries started in February 2021.
