BuCor spokesperson Gabriel Chaclag said 14 other PDLs also sustained injuries from bullets fired from improvised weapons.

“Violence started from verbal heckling with adjacent dormitories at the East Quadrant until a gunshot was heard and [it] started [an] exchange of gunshots,” Chaclag said.
Chaclag said seven PDLs who were believed to have played major parts in the violence were identified and taken away to an isolation area, and appropriate disciplinary actions will be imposed on them.
