Bataan publisher dies after bout with lingering illness

CITY OF BALANGA — A newspaper publisher in Bataan province died Thursday, Dec. 30, after battling a lingering illness, his relatives said.

Bienvenido Medina, 77, publisher-editor of Bataan Today, suffered a broken pelvic bone three years ago. Doctors said he succumbed to multiple organ failure.

He used to be an instructor of journalism and English in different schools in Balanga City before publishing a community newspaper.

Medina, a widower, is survived by his two children.
