Zambales town allows ‘walk-ins’ for COVID-19 booster shots

SAN ANTONIO, Zambles––The government of San Marcelino town in this province has allowed “walk-ins” for its residents 18 years old and above who want to get a booster shot against COVID-19.

In a statement Monday, the local government said those who completed the primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine for at least three months now could avail of the booster shots.

It said the move was based on the amended Emergency Use Authorization issued by the Department of Health.

Healthcare workers have been administering the vaccines at the town’s covered court. They are also conducting mobile vaccination in villages.

San Marcelino has no active COVID-19 cases as of Monday, local data showed. It is one of the 10 towns in the province that recently obtained a virus-free status. INQ
