72% of Olongapo’s target population now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY–At least 128,814 residents or 72 percent of the target population in this city had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, local data showed on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

The city needs to inoculate about 182,000 eligible residents to achieve herd immunity against the viral disease.

So far, 155,392 residents have received their first dose of the vaccine.

The local government continues its rollout of the vaccines to hit its target, including the administration of booster shots.

As of Wednesday, 1,705 healthcare workers in the city have received their booster shots.

The city’s active COVID-19 cases stood at two out of 5,458 infections it recorded since last year.
