MANILA, Philippines — The local governments of Muntinlupa and Quezon City vowed to provide P30 million in aid to the areas devastated by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai).

The councils of both cities have authorized their respective local chief executives to grant the financial assistance.

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi will give  P20 million, while Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte is set to distribute P10 million to certain areas in the Visayas and Mindanao.
