Pacquiao says he won’t stop giving relief, cash until campaign season begins
MANILA, Philippines — Amid accusations of vote-buying, presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao insisted Tuesday he will not stop giving relief and cash to the public until the campaign season officially begins next year.
Pacquiao said that politicians should just do the same since it is the Christmas season, adding that the aid could help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
He added that the would only stop giving away cash and relief once the official campaign period begins or if he was forbidden by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Pacquiao said he only wants to help the public, saying that he cannot bring his money to the grave.
