2,000 more kids jabbed against COVID-19 in Olongapo City
OLONGAPO CITY––About 2,000 more minors in this city were vaccinated Tuesday, Dec. 7, against COVID-19 as the local government continues to pursue herd immunity.
The vaccine recipients, 12 to 17 years old, received the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
The City Information Center said the mass vaccination of eligible children at SMX Convention Center began on Nov. 8.
At least 148,128 city residents received the first dose of the vaccine, while 106,049 got their second or the single-dose Janssen vaccine of Johnson & Johnson.
More than 400 medical front-liners have also received booster shots against the viral disease.
