Over 90,000 Ilocos residents get vax vs COVID-19 on 1st day of nat’l vaccination drive

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The Department of Health (DOH) in the Ilocos region announced on Monday (Nov. 29) that at least 93,505 individuals received their COVID-19 vaccines during the first day of the three-day national vaccination drive.

The COVID-19 vaccines were administered in at least 408 vaccination sites which were set up in the region.

From Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, all the vaccination sites in the region should inoculate a combined total of at least 252,240 residents to achieve Ilocos region’s target vaccination coverage

For Ilocos Norte, at least 19,114 are being eyed to be vaccinated during the three-day activity, while 19,888 for Ilocos Sur, 36,314 in La Union, and 176,924 in Pangasinan, according to the DOH. INQ
