MANILA, Philippines— A bettor from Manila won the P16.04 million jackpot in the 6/42 lotto after the winning combination was drawn Thursday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced.
The PCSO said on its official Facebook page that the winning combination is 38-41-21-28-02-13.
The winning ticket was purchased by a sole bettor from the nation’s capital city, according to the PCSO.
“Prizes not claimed by the public within one year from date of the draw shall be considered forfeited,” reminded the PCSO, which also explained that a 20 percent tax would be levied on prizes above P10,000 as mandated under the TRAIN (Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion) law which took effect in 2018.
Based on the PCSO’s website, the Lotto 6/42 is the country’s first lottery game. Bettors have to select six numbers from 1 to 42 and match them to the official winning number combination to win the jackpot.
