Comelec denies 126 party-list applicants

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections has denied 126 party-list group applicants for the 2022 elections, Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said Wednesday.

Guanzon, in a Twitter post, announced: “126 applicants for Party List registration were denied by Comelec.”

The poll body has yet to release the full list of denied party-list groups.

A total of 270 party-list groups have filed their certificates of nomination and acceptance during the week-long filing in October, according to Comelec’s data.
