MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail in most parts of the country on Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquein said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” still prevails over Luzon while the shear line affects some parts in Visayas and Mindanao.

The Caraga regionin Mindanao, Central and Eastern Visayas may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Luzon, including Metro Manila, Western Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao will have a fair weather condition with possible isolated rain showers.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said that fishermen are free to venture at sea as no gale warning is raised over the country’s seaboards.

“Para naman po sa kondisyon ng ating baybaying-dagat, wala po tayong nakataas na gale warning. Pwede pa pong pumalaot ‘yung mga kababayan nating mangingisda o ‘yung may maliliit na sasakyang pandagat, pwede po sila pumalaot,” Bulquerin said.

(No gale warning is in effect. Our fishermen and those with small vessels may venture out to sea.)
