2 drug suspects busted in Laguna
LUCENA CITY – Two drug suspects, both on police watch list, were arrested in Santa Rosa City, Laguna on Friday and Saturday.
The Santa Rosa police collared Leandro Briones, 39, after he sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay (village) Aplaya before dawn Saturday.
Authorities seized five plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P3,000.
Earlier, police agents also busted Crispin Lopena, 56, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Caingin at around 11:50 p.m. on Friday.
The suspect yielded five sachets of shabu worth around P13,600 in the street market.
Reformed drug users and former clients reported the suspects’ activities to the police.
The suspects are facing a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
