MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila Council chairman and Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez on Monday said that there were no mass gatherings, among other health protocol violations, recorded since the National Capital Region downgraded to Alert Level 3.

“Dito po sa Parañaque, wala naman pong nangyari po doon, pati po sa mga ibang LGU (local government unit) natin sa Metro Manila at maganda po ‘yung implementation po natin dito po sa Alert Level 3,” Olivarez said on Teleradyo when asked if there were reported violations such as mass gatherings.

(Here in Parañaque and other LGUs in Metro Manila, there was none. Our implementation of Alert Level 3 was good.)

However, Olivarez noted that there was a slight influx of people in establishments.

“Kung makikita natin, mayroong pagdagsa ng tao nang kaunti doon po sa mga establishment natin doon po sa ating pagbukas ng Alert Level 3 nung last Saturday,” Olivarez assessed.

(There was a slight influx of people in establishments when we shifted to Alert Level 3 on Saturday.)

“Pero alam naman po natin na ‘yung ating PNP (Philippine National Police) pati ang ating mga LGU ay kino-control po ito,” he added.

(But, we know that the PNP and LGUs are controlling it.)

Metro Manila shifted to Alert Level 3 from Alert Level 4 on Saturday.

Several establishments and businesses were reopened to include cinemas and theme parks.
