95 more COVID-19 patients die in PH; death toll now at 40,675
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported 95 more COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, raising the total number of patients who have died to 40,675.
The current death toll represents 1.50 percent of all the 2,720,368 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.
The DOH reported 119 COVID-19 36 deaths on Monday, 263 on Tuesday, 173 on Wednesday, 154 deaths on Thursday, 203 on Friday, and 156 deaths on Saturday.
The country still has 81,641 active cases of the disease, of which 3.8 percent are severe and 1.6 percent are critical that are at higher risk for death.
Meanwhile, 82 percent are mild, 5.5 percent are asymptomatic, and 7.13 percent are moderate cases.
On hospital utilization, 62 percent of ICU beds, 47 percent of isolation and ward beds, and 46 percent of ventilators are currently being used.
