ORMOC CITY––Two persons deprived of liberty (PDL) were caught Thursday using illegal drugs inside the Biliran Provincial Jail in Naval, Biliran.

Joel Dela Peña, 30, and Antonio Villena Jr., 49, who are facing charges of murder and carnapping, respectively, face additional charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Jail warden Gideon Batiquen said Dela Peña admitted that the illegal drugs came from him. The PDL reportedly got the illegal drugs after attending the hearing for his case.

Recovered from the two PDLs was one sachet containing shabu (methamphetamine), two empty sachets containing a residue of shabu, three aluminum tin foils, and a cellular phone.
