Over 200K join DOH raffle for vaccinated people; P3-M cash prizes up for grabs
MANILA, Philippines — Over 200,000 individuals have so far joined the raffle of the Department of Health (DOH) for those vaccinated against COVID-19, where a total of P3 million in cash prizes are up for grabs.
“Tayo po ay naglaunch nito lang linggong ito at ngayon dalawang daang libo na po ang sumali dito sa ating raffle para sa mga bakunado. Our target ay sana makarating tayo ng kahit isang milyon na sumali dito,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said at the Laging Handa public briefing.
(We launched this raffle only this week and around 200,000 have already joined. Our target is to have one million people join the raffle.)
According to a statement from DOH, the SMS-based “Bakunado Panalo” raffle was sponsored by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation in collaboration with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation and is open to vaccinated Filipinos.
The DOH said the initiative is a way to incentivize vaccination, increase willingness to be vaccinated, and to thank Filipinos for getting themselves inoculated.

This is to ensure that people return for their second dose and that the most vulnerable sector—the senior citizens— are vaccinated and protected,” the health department said.
