22.6 million Filipinos now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Over 22 million individuals in the country are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases and presidential spokesperson Harry Roque reported on Thursday.
As of October 6, Roque said 22,657,351 or 29.37 percent of the target population are fully vaccinated while 25,733,468 or 33.36 percent have received their first dose.
The latest data brings the total administered vaccines in the country to 48,390,819.
According to Roque, a total of 628,031 vaccine doses were injected nationwide on Wednesday.
In Metro Manila, a total of 16,317,106 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
Of the figure, 8,818,956 or 90.21 percent of the target population got their first dose while 7,498,150 individuals or 76.70 percent are now fully immunized.
