Noli de Castro takes oath as Aksyon Demokratiko member
MANILA, Philippines — Veteran broadcast journalist and former Vice President Noli De Castro has taken his oath as a member of Aksyon Demokratiko on Thursday after announcing his plans to run again for senator in the 2022 national elections.
De Castro took his oath at the Manila City Hall at around 10 am with presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Isko Moreno, who is also the president of the party.
“I am honored and happy that despite, [my being] 46 years old, it is the sensible politicians who are joining us,” Moreno told reporters after the oath taking ceremony.
For his part, De Castro said in an Aksyon Demokratiko live feed: “Yung mga programa ni Mayor Isko, iyon na ho ang susuportahan ko, basta para sa mga kababayan natin.”
(I will support the programs of Mayor Isko, as long as it’s for the public.)
