PNP logs 125 new COVID-19 infections, caseload now at 40,463

The PNP on Wednesday reported 125 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, bringing the caseload of the PNP at 40,463.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday reported 125 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel, bringing the caseload to 40,463.

Of the total number of infections, 1,783 are tagged as “active cases.”

There are also 182 new recoveries, bringing the total number of those who survived the new coronavirus to 38,561.

No new deaths were reported on Wednesday; the death toll remains at 119.

Meanwhile, more than 80 percent of PNP personnel have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Nationwide, the government said the country as of Tuesday reported 2,593,399 cases of the new coronavirus, including 112,008 active cases, 2,442,623 recoveries, and 38,768 deaths.
