LIST: Aspirants lodge COC on 5th day of filing for 2022 elections

Several more aspirants lodged their certificates of candidacy before the Commission on Elections on Tuesday.

MANILA, Philippines — Forty-one aspirants lodged their certificates of candidacy (COCs) on Tuesday.

The first to file a COC at the Sofitel Harbor Garden Tent on the fifth day of the filing period is the Talino at Galing ng Pinoy for a party list seat.


Marcos again

Another familiar name but unfamiliar face filed a COC for president. Maria Aurora Marcos is the second aspirant for the country’s highest post who bears the Marcos surname.

Meanwhile, Samuel Aloysius Jardin and lawyer Larry Gadon lodged their COCs for senators.

As of Tuesday, the following are the aspirants who have filed their COCs:

As of October 4, 20 individuals have filed a COC for president, seven for vice president, 39 for senators, and 48 for partylist.
