Former MMDA general manager files COC for House post

MANILA, Philippines — Former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Jojo Garcia on Tuesday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for representative of the third district of Rizal.
Garcia personally filed his COC at the Commission on Elections’ Rizal Provincial Office at Hilltop, Taytay, Rizal at around 10 a.m.
Garcia is running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition party, as iniucated in his COC.
He announced his resignation as MMDA General Manager on Friday to run as the first ever representative of the third district of Rizal.
President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed into law a bill which divided the second legislative district of Rizal province into three new districts.
