Sotto vows to work harder after survey shows him leading among VP bets
MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III tops the latest Pulse Asia survey of potential vice president for the 2022 elections with 25 percent of Filipinos surveyed expressing their support for his candidacy.
The nationwide survey was based on face-to-face interviews of 2,400 adult Filipinos or those aged 18 and above. It also used a ± 2% error margin at the 95% confidence level.
In a statement, Sotto said he is humbled by the latest Pulse Asia survey result.
“With utmost humility, I thank God and our ‘kababayans’ for the trust and confidence that many are placing on me and my dream of further serving the Filipino family beyond the halls of the Senate,” Sotto said.
Sotto, who first became senator in 1992, promised to work harder and said he sees the survey result as a confidence booster.
