Vax certificates to be launched in 4 regions

The COVID-19 vaccination certificate system first rolled out for Metro Manila and Baguio residents who will travel abroad will be launched next in four other areas in the country, Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said. The VaxCertPH system had a soft launch earlier this month initially for overseas Filipino workers and outbound travelers from Metro Manila and Baguio City. Malaya said officials planned to roll out the system next in Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao. “We are fixing this and once this is fully completed by the various local governments, we could open [the system] up to other people,” he said at an online briefing. —Leila B.
