Tofil awardee new president of Ateneo de Davao
DAVAO CITY, Philippines—An awardee for education of the Ten Outstanding Filipinos became the fourth president of the Jesuit-run Ateneo de Davao University (Addu)here.
Father Joel Tabora, of the Society of Jesus, replaced Father Antonio S. Samson, SJ, who had been Addu president for 13 years.
Tabora was head of the Ateneo de Naga University in Bicol prior to his new post.
Tabora, a staunch advocate for social transformation, was formally installed on Tuesday.
