Fire razes 7 homes, displaces 10 families in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—Fire gutted seven homes in Sta. Cruz, Manila before dawn Tuesday, leaving 10 families homeless, a fire officer from the Manila Fire Department said.

“The fire started in a house along Oroquieta Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila at around 1:55 a.m. and reached the third alarm before fire fighters put it out at around 3 a.m.,” Senior Fire Officer 2 Emmanuel Gaspar said.

Gaspar stated that no one was injured or killed in the incident and that an investigation was ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
