Over 120,000 Zambales residents get vaccinated vs COVID-19

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 120,306 residents in the province were vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday (Sept. 10), according to the provincial health office.

Latest data showed that a total of 59,113 of them have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Some 61,193 residents already received the first dose of the vaccine and were still waiting to get their full dose.

Among the priority vaccine recipients are those under A1-A5 category or health workers, senior citizens, persons with comorbidity, essential workers and indigents in the province.

The vaccines that are being administered in the province include Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm and the single-dose Janssen vaccine by Johnson & Johnson.

The province needs to inoculate 413,000 residents or 70 percent of 590,800 population to achieve herd immunity.
