Work in gov’t offices suspended in Zambales due to ‘Jolina’
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — All government offices in the province will be suspended on Thursday (Sept. 9) due to the inclement weather caused by Severe Tropical Storm Jolina (international name Conson).
The suspension order was contained in a memorandum signed by Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. on Wednesday, which covers both provincial and national agencies in the province.
He also advised all private offices to do the same and reminded everyone to take safety precautions ahead of the storm.
As of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, moderate to heavy and intense rains were experienced in the province and some areas in Central Luzon.
Tropical cyclone signal no. 2 was hoisted over a large area of the region, including Zambales.
